Speak of the devil! I just said we should give him a spot.

Now I hope we still give one to Taylor Polk and/or the best o-lineman we can find at this point.

Very happy about this for a number of reasons. The kid is player in his own right and everything appeared to work out for him to sign with us. His brother from another mother is currently committed to the Skinny Kiffen; so we shall see if reverse-slim-jean-wearin'-mojo works for Mullen this time.

Taylor Polk? We had plenty of chances to actually sign good linemen. Farrior, Bradley, Fraser, Droogsma, Haynes.

Agreed. Just a bit of discomfort about his point of origin. Hopefully unfounded

I trust our staff on these "no names" or low offer groups considering somebody with a single D1 offer was just named the best CB in the country

"no names" - obviously irvin-sills was a little down our board considering we took cleveland over him (i personally think its his height and thats it), but he was an auburn commit until a little after the coaching change. I think Sills-Irvin will definitely be better than Cleveland, and although I'm a Starkville guy, he may end up better than Myles as well.

no names? Jahmere Irvin-Sills is definitely not a no name. Was committed to Auburn; has offers from Tenn, UCLA, WV, Ole Miss (of course he wasn't good enough for their class), among others. The kid can play.

I'm really confused. Sills? Irvin? Wealth? Half brother? Southern California? Someone explain. I can't find anything on this guy.

Jahmere is the adopted brother of David Sills, the guy who signed with USC when he was 13. The Sills family took Jahmere in when his mother died and at some point officially adopted him.

They both play for Eastern Christian Academy, profiled here: http://articles.washingtonpost.com/...high-school-football-players-football-program
I see. I remember the offering a 13 year old kid a scholarship, never knew his name.

So are we making a play at his adopted brother? Seems like a very legit prospect in his own right.

You mean people like Chris Jones when we offered him?
