We beat Kentucky, Ole Miss, and UT-Martin. Arkansas and Bama wipe the floor with us. I just don't think we have the offense to keep up with those, and the other 3 wins will have fairly close scores.

I just hope we end up in Nashville and not Memphis or Birmingham.

The Ole Miss game will be for the bowl slot.

We end up in B'ham or Memphis, but I'm guessing B'ham.....at which point our fans will insist that we need to get rid of Mullen.

And it's hard to believe that we are having this discussion, given the amount of optimism we had at the beginning of the year.

I think we beat UK. They suck, and we always seem to beat them sans Derek Abney. Of course UT-M is a win, and I think having UM at home makes the difference for us, especially since it will be a play-in game for us bowl-wise.

After the billboards and all the talking the last two years, Hootin Dale is able to rally the troops one last time to send him out a winner.

The Auburn, UGA and USC games were the swing games between 6-6 and 9-3.

Like I posted on 247, Arkansas wouldn't be unwinnable at home. History tells us that at Little Rock though, we might as well call in sick and go ahead and pencil in the L. We do though have a chance, however slight it might be, to beat Arkansas. We have that same slight chance of loosing to Ole Miss.<div>
</div><div>I say 7 wins is possible. So is 5. 6 is probable.</div>

6-6. We also put up way more of a fight against Bama than expected. Marquis Maze then pulls one of his usual back-breakers in the 4th.

Meanwhile, our bowl destination is going to be in other people's hands. UT HAS to beat Vandy to make a bowl. Vandy has to beat either UT or Wake on the road. UF has to beat UGA, USC, or FSU to get more than 6 wins.
The best case scenario for us is probably UT at 5-7 and Vandy at 6-6. Hopefully the Music City would pass on the hometown team while Memphis wouldlove to get them.

5-6 going into Egg Bowl, and that will be just the motivation they need to beat us. Haven't seen anything that even makes me believe that we beat KY. Offensive line is so bad, it doesn't matter who we play at QB this year. Our defense can keep us in games, but it can't win them for us.

5-7. However, I reserve the right to modify in two weeks, if necessary. I would like to see what UM does during that time.

We only have one game left that I feel comfortable about. This team has been mentally shredded this season and we are ripe for an upset from UK or the bears.

On top of that, I feel that we will beat ourselves in one of those games by trying to be too damn cute or just being stupid.

Maybe Notre Dame is a group of snooty douchebags that think they're above a 6-6 bowl, but it would be hard to find ANY team in the SEC that would turn down a bowl game, especially one of the bottom 4. We need the extra practices as bad as anyone.

I am just saying I would rather go to an NIT basketball game over a 6-6 Bowl game. It's just a personal preference for me. I am sure you will go and enjoy our loss to a CUSA team in Memphis...

if we're 6-6 and we qualify for a bowl, I'm gonna be watching and cheering. Just like the NIT, if anyone else is playing in it I'm not even really aware it's going on. But if we're in it, I'm watching and cheering.

Wins against UT-Martin, Kentucky, and Mississippi.....if Relf gets his legs back. He kills UM, and both he and Mullen know it. If Russell plays the whole game then yea, we'll lose and not go bowling.

There's only 1 game you feel good about? Are we as good as expected? No. But to say we are anywhere close to as bad as Ole Miss or Kentucky is just dumb. We just lost a game against a top 15 team which we should have won. And Kentucky got beat by 50 to the same team. Ole Miss has gotten blasted by Alabama and VANDERBILT. They got beat by BYU who is just not good, they struggled against a FCS team, and struggled mightily against a bad Fresno State team. There is absolutely no reason we should lose either of those games.<div>
</div><div>We are not a bad team. But in good ole Mississippi State fashion, you guys tend to overblow everything. We played the #1 team in the nation much closer than anyone else has (including Oregon and WV), we lost to a 5-2 Auburn team who isnt as bad as we thought, we lost to a 4-2 Georgia team who isn't great but isn't bad, and we lost to a one loss South Carolina team. Auburn and Georgia were on the road, and it is still the SEC, road games are always tough to win.</div>

And maybe, just maybe, after all of the frustration we've endured this season, the Good Lord could see to it that we pull the upset in Little Rock....we're due against those guys...especially on the road. That would possibly get us to 7-5 and the Music City. Although if we did manage to upset Arky, we've inevitably turn around and squander away the Egg Bowl the following week.
