Those kind of results get you paid $4 million a year as basketball coach at South Carolina.

Just hold a raffle for our next MBB coach. The more raffle tickets you buy the higher your chance.

With last night's loss, we have logged 8 losses of 30+ points under Lamont.

Time to give Mike Boynton another shot. He’s the top assistant at Michigan and responsible for the talent on that team. He got screwed over by the NCAA at Ok State by receiving sanctions he had nothing to do with, while all the blue bloods got nothing. That clearly affecting the recruiting as they weren’t eligible for the postseason.

I think he’d take the job this time around. He’s much better than Paris.

Don’t know that any coach is a sure thing here. Remember Billy Donovan talking a couch out of taking our job years ago…I think when we hired Darrin Horn or maybe Frank Martin. It’s a tough job. Not that attractive to proven coaches. But I do know Lamont Paris isn’t the answer.

But but but we made the NCAA tournament his first season. Which apparently gives a basketball coach at Carolina 3 extra seasons to relax and not worry about results. Two Carolina fan lifetime quotes: "Wait til next year" and "He needs more time".

The thing that gets me with some posters is they say making the NCAAT proves Lamont can win. Only the good season counts. If the one good season proves he can win. The 2 disastrous seasons (so far...3rd is pending) should prove he can't win.

Another Ray Tanner Loser Special... I appreciate Ray's contributions here as the baseball coach but he was absolutely incompetent as AD.

I wonder who we might try to go get this off season. Barring a miraculous turnaround, I think Lamont is cooked and will be dismissed as soon as the season concludes if not sooner.

If Martin can be jettisoned then Paris can be shot into space.

Paris is a dead man walking. Barring some miraculous turnaround, there's no way he's still coaching here after March.

What's his buyout? He has 4 Years left on his contract after this year. The problem is Tanner gives these guys an extension any time they have a good year.

Edit: I looked it up. It is 12.5 Mil.

We can't go on like this. You know it as well as I, if not better than I.

I think Tanner and board members that keep approving these extensions need to go first. We can't keep paying these coaches to go play golf and buy lakefront homes.

They aren’t coordinated enough to beat two drums at the same time.
Sorry to tell you but people calling for Shane's removal after this abysmal, disappointing season were justified. 4 wins this past season was unacceptable (apparently some fans have no issue) and would have been fireable at plenty of schools considering that's two losing seasons out of last three. He's had a solid offseason but he's still one more losing season from being canned. I hope he gets us back on the winning track but facts are facts: the major men's sports at Carolina are horrible right now. Up to Donati to right the ship (helping Shane get Briles shows that determination). As far as MBB, change seems inevitable.

So far, Shane seems to have his best seasons in the off season.
