you when you watched us play Syracuse on that late Saturday afternoon in March of 1996??
I was in TJ's Sports Bar in Alpharetta, GA watching with a couple of other State fans but it sure wasa lot of KY blue in the bar that night as well.
I still kick myself for not being in NY/NJ that weekend. Probably would not have gotten tickets though.

My passion during that season got a lot of people around there following the Bulldogs. Since I picked us to win it all, I didn't win the pool that season. That was one of those games that was decided by a few plays here or there. It was played at a low key, which was frustrating since the dawgs had been playing so uptempo and dynamic. We were just a little off, probably because of the syr. d and game plan. It was a great run but shouldacouldawoulda . . .

...my in-laws had cable, but I didn't want to watch it over there because every time I watched MState there they'd lose. So, I was watching through the TV snow at home. Long about the middle of the first half, an old college buddy calls up and "just wants to talk". I yell at him, "DON'T YOU KNOW THAT MISSISSIPPI STATE IS PLAYING IN THE FINAL FOUR???" He replied that he didn't know that.

Looked at the tickets this AM(have them framed w/game program, pictures from arena, etc in my office) Should have gotten fired, took off way too much time that glorious month back in 1996. Went to every game, from SEC Tourney in New Orleans, to Indy, to Lexington, and Final Four. Good 17in times!!
