Since thanksgiving is next Thursday

So if teams play Friday and win in 4a do they play the day after thanksgiving or would games be played on that Saturday? Because a lot off people will be out of town

That is up to the AD of the host team.

Dinwiddie always tried to play on Friday night. There were always as many arguments for and against Friday, as there are for or against Saturday.

Weather occasionally dictated a decision, but absent that, it was always Friday night.

State semi and championship games are controlled directly by the VHSL. And the VHSL requires that these games be played on Saturday.

When I say it's up to the host AD, that is for the three rounds of the Regional tournament only.

I don't know of any Regional Rules that may require their individual games or championship game to be played on a Saturday, but there may be a Region or two with specific rules.

They played Saturday because of the weather and field conditions at Dinwiddie. Huguenot offered their field for Saturday.

In Region A we have Friday night game times. 7pm is the time.
