and Bobby Petrino to FSU. That would get him back to Florida where he could get the top recruits in a state that has better high school football than Louisiana. And Louisiana has great high school football. You never can tell.

It's rare that a coach jumps from an elite program to another as head coach. However, Jimbo has some ties to LSU being an OC there under Saban. The prospect of moves like this have me extremely intrigued by this offseason. Big name schools and coaches abound.

I am sure Jimbo will be on their short list unless they already had a deal before Les was booted out.

I'll be honest, before Jameis Winston, a lot of people was questioning Fisher. A real good coach shouldn't get beat by the margin Louisville beat them, and the margin he lost the bowl game to against Oregon, with the talent Florida State has.

Well if you boot a coach who has taken you to two title games in the middle of the season then you better have a really good idea of who you're going to hire to replace him. It better be someone you're sure of and you better not just rely on some speculation that you can get the guy you want, you better be sure.

By the way, is Ed Orgeron some sort of curse? Twice now he's been named interim coach after a coach got to boot mid-season.

At the least, you have to pause as an LSU athletic director and wonder if it is better to hire the guy with a national championship, or the one who just smoked that coach?

Fisher to LSU, then Stoops to FSU. Hey, he has ties there!

Really though:
Herman: LSU
Houston: Briles
Miles: Baylor

Works out for everyone.

Who do we get?

I don't really think stoops is going anywhere. Barring a 3 win season, he'll be here next year.

Just for fun though, let's say we get North Dakota States coach, and also we get a magical two extra years of eligibilty from Carson Wentz.

And yesterday, Clay Travis argued during halftime of the Tennessee/Florida game that the Haslam brothers should buy out Butch Jones and hired Petrino there. Travis is an interesting character, but a character none the less.

Alot of people cant stand him I like listening to his show in morning cause its a tually one of the natio al Pro SEC Football shows that is out there. He covers alot about SRC all the time. I have yet to hear anything negative about CAL yet soon as I do Illl probably dislike him.

Don't really see Petrino jumping juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust yet. Shot to have a legit playoff team. Can do NO wrong at Louisville. Another year with a Herrmann candidate.

Plus Jurich is a sharp operator. No telling what kind of buyout/ penalty he attached to Petrinos contract after all the issues he had last time. Throw in. the pressure to win EVERY game at LSU .... winning one national title and playing for another just don't get it done.

Clay Travis is Matt Jones on steroids.

Whoever LSU gets better be able to beat Bama in 2-3 years or they will be in the unemployment line.
