Even better is Singleton saying that he isn't coming on his own is better in my opinion than him saying that Dan told him not to come.
But, it's pretty attention whorish to get on TV to say that "I'm not coming to MSU for my official visit because the fans are saying mean things about me". If he wants to go, go. If not, then don't show up. It's as simple as that. It's pretty clear to me that this statement is being used to try to make MSU "look bad".
I think you will end up being correct about Singleton being overrated. I think he is making a mistake because he would have benefitted more from being in our offense with better QB's. Whatever he does at Ole Miss, it probably won't be near as good as what he would have done at MSU.
But, I don't make decisions for people, and don't have time to since I have a real job.
I know I am in the minority, but I think we could have used Price. He was kind of limited in my opinion by Bobby Hall's crappy offensive scheme. I'm not saying that he would be a superstar, a critical loss or another Bumphis, but he does have speed, and I think Balis along with some good coaching and an offensive scheme designed to get him the ball in space would have been beneficial for him.
But, he obviously wants to play running back so bad, that he will have to just go to a Sun Belt school to do it. Which again, is a bad decision on his part.
