Auburn is living on the edge with this hire and I love every bit of criticism they are getting.

that they want some continuity from the time when Tubby had the fire still in him. other than that, they are morons.

this has turned into a PR nightmare and it couldn't have happened to a better bunch...well... it could have happened to Bama and I would have liked it much more.

The article does not say for sure that Gill interviewed. Sounds to me, like the way it is worded, Gill did not interview because he did not want to be the "token interview". Sounds like Gill was making convenient excuses instead of telling Chuck he did not want to work for a University that just had the most unjustified, dumbest firing in all of college football history. I thought OM was dumb for firing Cutcliff, Arkansas for firing Nutt, but AU firing Tubberville was the dumbest. Who would want to take that job after that? Then you are competing with Saban. AU would not be a good job to take for a guy who has aspirations of coaching Nebraska one day.

this morning that Gill didn't want to interview for Auburn or us because his wife is white and was afraid of moving to a small town in the south.
