That would make sense but I didn’t even think we reached out to him or that he was in the portal. If he is, that dude is good. He single handily kept Illinois within striking range in our game. Only problem is he doesn’t shoot it from 3. 25% in the year. He was closer to like 38% his first two years but in limited minutes.
I haven't seen anything about him entering just yet, says that he started at Arizona 23-24 and shot 38% for them which is pretty good. Interesting nonetheless

He played at Illinois last year after transferring from Zona.

Gotta Catch Em All GIF by Pokémon

PF: Yaxel starter, Alvero Folgueiras off the bench.
C: Garrison starter, Gwath off the bench, Moreno comes along and plays mop up minutes.

Garrison could probably play PF/C since he'll definitely keep working on his shot this off-season. Dunno about the other guys.

We can dream, anyway 😂
I think if you got both Lendeborg and Folgueiras they would be too good together not to start both - a two PF frontcourt reminiscent of Erik Daniels and Chuck Hayes. Both are tough rebounders and don't mind contact, in addition to being able to do about anything you could want from a PF offensively. Heck I would spend the remaining NIL budget and forget adding anyone else (including a portal PG - which I know we need) if that's what it took to get both of those PFs.

Doubt if we can have Gwath, moreno, robert morris guy, yaxel, garrison together...
Reading the tea leaves, I believe Garrison bolts hoping to score a bigger NIL bag. If we land the names being mentioned it would be best for both parties.

However, if one of those guys doesn't commit then there's plenty of minutes to spread between the 4-5 spots. Garrison has tremendous upside and is familiar with Pope's system. Good spot to be in for BBN.

I don’t see any PG with those initials except the one from Vandy hope it’s not him Karris Bilal

If you want to play the Kevin Bacon game....

Bilal was at Georgia State before Vandy

Georgia State HC is Jonas Hayes

Jonas Hayes recruited Bilal while an asst at Xavier and got him to commit to him when he became HC at Georgia State.

Jonas Hayes was an assistant to Mark Fox at Georgia.

Mark Fox now reports to Mark Pope in Lexington.

If I had to guess, it's kinda like tossing out restaurant ideas for the group. Sure, a steak from Longhorn would be swell, but you REALLY hope the family opts for Malone's or Jeff Ruby's.
Shew yeah my belly does my wallet though? 🫠

Isn’t that when you say “how about that typhoid outbreak at Longhorn and doesn’t the Surgeon General eat at Jeff Ruby’s?”
