This is a basketball topic but I figured if I posted it under Winter, nobody would read it for a while.
Anyway, if you are a college basketball fan, you know the story of Sister Jean, the former chaplain and honorary "mascot" for the Loyola Chicago team. She became almost a cult figure back in 2018 when that team made a miracle run to the Final Four. She was "only" 98 at the time but the cameras loved her, she would get interviewed, and it was almost a running joke that she "advised" the team on how they should improve their play. If you ever watched any of their games then or in the years since, you have seen students adopt her trademark shawl/blanket look.
It was just one of those feel good stories in the sports world when compared to all the negative stuff that happens. I am pretty sure that she stayed a fixture on their televised games up until at least age 102.
