Sitting here over-thinking things and using total hingsight. Starting Stratton.....
I honestly believe the team sleep walked through that first game because Stratton was pitching so we could get the "sure win"...IE we read our press clippings and didn`t play the type game that got us there because we were destined to win because of Stratton pitching against a nobody like Samford. If there was one thing I wish we had done differently it would be to start someone else and keep the pressure on this very scrappy group of kids that THEY had to come through to win. We`ll never know..............oh well. Still love my dawgs.
