The Ledges has the hardest greens to read I've ever played. It is gorgeous. If only I'd made better financial decisions.....

If you have the means to get on the Ledges, there are several country clubs in Birmingham that are in that orbit.
I've never played them, but Old Overton and Shoal Creek come highly recommended.
Quote from someone who played Shoal Creek: "Isn't much fun if you are much over a 7."

Farm Links is a well maintained track but only a couple of really good holes. If they have the play all day option for $110.00 It’s well worth the hour drive from I459 and Hwy 280 to the course.
If not, I may try Ballantrae and Timberline for much closer options.

If you haven’t used Golf Now, I highly recommend it. I probably played 25 different courses last year and I don’t think I paid more than $30 for a round. I played a couple of courses for $15...cart included. They also have a rewards program to earn free rounds.
