I am wanting to start up a league on whatifsports in hardball dynasty of sixpackers and nafoomers. And I would like everyone that joins to use their posting name.

Hardball Dynasty has completely replaced fantasy baseball for me. It is made up of mythical players and you run the entire franchise. You are the GM and manager, in control of everything from Rookie Ball rosters to ML roster. You draft. You sign free agents. Everybody has a salary cap. You can go into rebuild mode, cut salary, draft well, and sign international free agents. It has injuries. You have to decide when and when not to promote players to get them to meet their potential.

Its very comprehensive and alot of fun. And you can design your team and entire franchise the way you want it. You setlie-ups vs LH'ers and line-ups vs RH'ers...you have to keep adjusting your rotation and bullpen...all that stuff. # games are played per day once it starts- 2am, 10am, and 6 pm...once season starts, you can spend 10 minutes a day or as much as you want to taking care of your team once the season starts.

Its 25 bucksper season, and each season is 3 months long. You can win credits by making the playoffs on each level, getting more credit the farther you go

Let me know by email if you are interested. We need 30 more teams. Have 2 people already

Coach34 and I are in the same league. This is my first season and my Memphis Redbirds team will be back many seasons to come. Coach and I are pretty lousy at this, too. We are a combined 108-118 between our two teams this season.

but I wont be returning to it after this one...I'm in two other leagues that I really like, and am in my 2nd seasons with my franchises...I figure those two plus the Sixpack league will be more than enough...

I bet I can get D@A to join....and will work on Todd...we should be able to find some good guys to form half the league anyway

Does that cut into your Dungeons and Dragons time?

I love fantasy baseball, but that sounds weak.

But it's way more involved and customizable. I'm guessing you gathered that, and wanted to make fun anyway.

but part of the allure of fantasy football is going into MNF and needing 13 points from your WR. You can watch it live.

Is there anyway I can look at the layout, etc. before I pay for the software? I'm probably in anyway, but would like to look if possible.

If there are fake players, I am assuming the stats are fake. What is the point? Sounds like you are just playing MLB09 on PS3, except on the computer and without the fun of actually playing the game.

Look, I am a fantasy baseball freak, I have a problem, I can admit it. I am in 3 leagues. The whole appeal is the fact that you are following and scouting REAL players. I know that Matt Kemp is a stud because I have seen him play. Do you just guess which computer generated players are going to be better or something? I just don't get it.

And DS, I get the MLB Live app on my iPhone, I can watch every at bat of every player I have. Live. Really no different from NFL.

they become your players...and the stats build as you play the season out...and they continue on...there is even a Hall of Fame set up if we were to keep the league going for 10 seasons...all the stats are kept up for each season...

You control how to spend your budget- how much for scouting- HS, college, and international....spend to win now or take a couple of seasons and build thru the draft and international free-agents, how much for training, advanced scouting...all that

check it out at www.whatifsports.com then go to hardball dynasty....you will enjoy this way more than regular fantasy baseball

The whole point of fanatsy baseball is to be able to watch the games and to keep up with your players, and if you miss the game you can always watch baseball tonight...
I just don't have that much free time in my life, especially with DS playing on my tennis team this year...

However, could you please post all of your results and coaching moves for me to see? I want to be able to second guess you and call you ghey nicknames like Stains and Little Wooden.

On another note: That avatar with theflowchart with the birds is priceless.

I didnt realize that you can no longer start a new world in Hardball Dynasty. I am currently in a very good private league that has 5 openings if you are interested. If you are, go to Whatifsports, get you a screen name, go to Hardball dynasty, then Join a World...name of league is Buckner...under private worlds it will ask you for a password- its Jay Mathis...then you will be led to a screen with 5 teams to choose from once you pay...1st come, 1st pick of teams

Any questions- let me know
