Having said that, I think the Saints offense was the key to the game. The way they owned the second quarter, keeping Manning off the field and keeping the Saints D off the field was amazing. I think the announcer said it was something like 75 real time minutes between Manning touches at one point. Doing that no doubt kept the Saints in the game early and then allowed them to put a fresh D on the field late to put the clamps on.
