Reading a bunch of stuff over the last few days and thought I'd try to put it all in one thread until we get to the truth. I think we can all agree this isn't all about 3 losses in a row. You just don't make that move to a guy that has the 4 most wins in the last 4 years that just went to the semi final. So, here is what I have thus far:

1. Franklin requested a contract extension summer of 2025.
2. Kraft wanted to use $$$ resources to basically buy players and James wasn't on board with that and wanted to be more careful with how the money is spent.
3. JF was an arrogant fella and it finally caught up to him.
4. JFF and Kraft had a huge argument in the locker room in front of the team.
5. JFF after game reaction, he knew it was the end. Was he told going in to the game that this was happening?
6. Adidas paid off the buyout because they wanted him out prior to the season and before the contract was signed.

Don’t forget. Adidas wanted Franklin out earlier in the season and they were willing to pay.

As far as 5 goes...I feel like he was told it was playoff or bust...he knew it was over.

A plane landed at the State College airport from Indiana today as well....
My 20-year daughter (who has the interests of a 60-year old man) has gotten into flight tracking lately, for some reason. What plane(s) should be looking to track to help me out? I don’t understand any of it but I loved the flight tracking during the post-O’Brien search!

#1 could have been enough to sour the relationship coming into the season. You have an albatross of a contract, chronically lose the most important games, and want an extension with 6 years remaining?

I can imagine Kraft saying who the eff is this joker??? And Franklin feeling slighted by Penn State. One can further imagine where that could go.

So fast forward to a really rough patch where the team looks utterly lost. It’s easy to see how both sides might feel like pulling the plug.

More will undoubtedly come out. I’m sure of it.

I can confirm with 100% veracity and certainty:

Some of those items are accurate, and some are 100% cow pucks. :)

In the end, as always, it comes down to "Alignment" 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I also think they are ponying up some for the next guy. Who needs NIKE let OR have them.

1 other thing I will toss in and not that it really had any bearing or maybe it did... JF just looked tired at that last presser. He looked worn out. Going forward it will be interesting to see if coaches last longer than 10 years at 1 school and if so how effective they are still.... It's a meat grinder anymore.

While searching for the truth, I've got two that I'd like answered (one new and one old).

  1. Who pulled AJ Harris from the game on Saturday (Smith, Knowles, or Franklin), and did that decision go deeper than Saturday's performance?
  2. How did Kevin Thompson get injured before the Alamo Bowl?

Smith basically confirmed it was a coaches decision and not injury related. If it wasn't for the coaching change, pulling your #1 CB in the first half after giving up a TD and not playing him another snap would be a bigger story.

Using the context clues, it has to be a lot deeper than one play...but I'd love to know more about it.

McShay today paints Franklin in the light I've always heard behind the scenes--very selfish
Curious to see what else comes out about Franklin

There has been plenty of evidence that Todd McShay has some personal beef with CJF. That's one guy in the media.

There is also plenty of evidence that hundreds and hundreds of players and their parents who personally knew CJF - absolutely loved him.

I think I'll throw McShay's opinion on the scrap pile of "I don't care what that guys says".

Edit - great minds apparently think alike and type at the same time Midnighter! LOL
