"and other schools" stepped up. If he didn't just reveal the mindset of The SEC Office in those few comments, then I must be crazy. He was obviously a "Protect the elite" type guy in those comments (not that Oe Miss is elite.)

where he was basically saying that a win in the league tournament is not worth as much as a win during the regular season. Uh, last I checked, ALL NCAA games are at neutral sites, just like the league tourney.

...if MSU keeps winning, MSU will not need the blessing of some out of touch old fart to get into the NCAA tournament.

I still say if MSU plays Vandy tomorrow night & beats Vandy, MSU is in the NCAAtournament.

I agree. With the way the bubble has been playing out today, if it continues this way, a win over Vandy would have you in really good shape. A win over UGA though wouldn't do quite as much.

we would be 23-11 if we lost in the finals. Playing Kentucky and TN even if we lost would help as far as RPI and SOS.

That would suck if State were to be the first 23-win SEC team to not make the NCAAs. I think if we beat UGA/Vandy tomorrow to face UK/UT in the finals, we'd be in. <div>

UCLA was expected to be down some this year, and they are the only team we scheduled that was expected to be solid. DePaul is f'ing terrible. There is a reason their coach just got canned.

Give me a break. Our strength of schedule is 111. Twist any way you want, we played a weak schedule

San Diego State got a win over a Top 10 team. They are in great shape now. Minnesota pulled the upset on Michigan State. They are in much better shape now too though I think you could be ahead of them with a win over Vandy if they don't advance further. Georgia Tech locked up a bid with their win over Maryland.

The last few spots are going to be a lot tougher to get into based on the way it's playing out right now.

If Utah State or UTEP loses tomorrow, or if Cal loses tomorrow, you may end up in a spot where even beating Vandy may have you sweating.

For a while there it looked like the bubble would come back to the pack, but there are a handful of teams making a move with some big wins.

It's really messing with our NIT seeding. It may push us to a 2 or 3 seed instead of a 1 seed.
