they were dragging their feet and when auburn was in the national title picture he started to hide it and we blew the 17in whistle.

When MSU admin (apparently) screwed up by not responding quickly to SEC followup requests, certain SEC people were thinking they had leverage to keep us quiet and let them deal with it the way they wanted to...whatever that might be. ...And I'm thinking they were probably right and the initial leaks to the NYT didn't come from MSU's offices. We would have been happy to let our name stay out of everything until whatever the NCAA has went public, where our involvement will probably be very minor.

Knowing who blew this wide open will be very enlightening.
