Where is the vaunted Hayesville offense?
Your funny greygod! Isn’t there hardened criminals out there not wearing a seatbelt that you need to be giving tickets to? We do have a pretty good offense but Andrews has a good defense and they stopped it. They will do the same to the famous Murphy offense more than likely!

Swain 36-6 over Rosman
Subbed almost entire second half.
Blake Sain for Swain had 2 rushing TD’s and a 2pt conversion. On defense he had a forced fumble, fumble recovery, and a pick six.
I think this young jv team is learning on the go and is going to improve over this season. Getting some game experience is valuable to a young team. Several other players are stepping up and I see them growing as football players. Not just because it was Rosman and Cherokee the last two games. Bye week next week and Murphy in two weeks. Let’s see how much they improve by then.

If you want to go down this road fine. I feel confident the game itself will be a lot closer than Andrews - Hayesville was with Cats starters on the field. Andrews and Murphy already scrimmaged and I feel Dogs will give them a decent game. Cats will no doubt be favored but it won't a blowout either in my opinion.

Andrews-Hayesville went about like I expected. Very similar to Rville-Murphy. Alright Hayesville, a lot of you watched Rville-Murphy and played Andrews, what do you think about next week Andrews-Rville game?

What road little buddy? I was commenting to greygods “vaunted offense” comment. No one has said it the greatest offense ever. We are just excited we are getting more competitive. When comments like that are said I will defend our team and our players. Hats off to Andrews played a great game. Good luck the rest of the way!

No Andrews second unit isn’t in weaver and Martin still in with 5 mins to go
Come on man. You know very well the 2nd string started the 2nd half. He put starters back in for a series at the end of 3rd Qtr and scored. Your starters only scored on the kickoff which our kickoff team is made up of players that get little to no playing time. In other words you know Hayesville only scored one Td against our starting defense. Our coach showed great sportsmanship by not running the score up after leading at halftime 44 to 6

You need to read PantherPit's comments on the other thread before you say things haven't been said.

I'd venture to guess the only reason GreyGod went there was because of all the talk over in Robbinsville last week and the hyping up on here by one of your own, which like I said in the other thread I have no problem with. But if you're going to talk the talk you better walk the walk and the Jackets certainly did none of that tonight.

So go ahead and "defend" your team but nothing would've been said tonight had they kept quiet or backed up the chitter chatter and they did neither.

Yup, stood right there on the end zone fence and listened to it all night. Plus, I made a comment about Robbinsville and Andrews being the only close game for the Knights which was met with "The Jackets might have something to say about that!". You know, it's like Cold Biscuit said, it's better for everybody when the entire conference is better. The thing is, everyone knew coming in to this season that Robbinsville and Andrews were the top teams by far. Hayesville would have been better with Gillis, but he moved to varsity.

They may have been in at start of 3rd but by end of 3rd they were in and weaver and Martin was still in with 5 mins in 4th

All I said is Hayesville has a lot of good skill players which they due but Murphy dominated the line and they looked scared of Martin and Hayesville looked better in 2half bc Andrews starters came back in quick

You’re making crap up. After making the score 44 to 22 against the subs he put the starters back in and drove right down the field and scored immediately. He put the subs back in but eventually had to put some starters back in. Did you expect him to let you come back and win against subs. Our starters dominated your starters who never came out all night. This is why some teams run the score up because the team getting killed will not put their subs in and act like they played better in the 2nd half. Twist it anyway you want but I watched the whole game. Hayesville has some good athletes. I thought they were well coached. But they were totally dominated in every aspect of the game against our starters.

I’m not making anything up Andrews starters were out beginning of the 3rd Hayesville scored then got onside kick back and scored again then starters Came back, yes Andrews dominated but Hayesville came out flat to begin the game dont think they responded well to getting hit hard

The cats are legit and they're more than just Martin. Weaver has been a great back on that team for a long time. I think folks just tend to talk about Martin more because he's been so dominating.
Yes, a good group for Andrews coming if they stay together and they dont lose a bunch to transfers or other sports like the 2017 Andrews JV team did.

With these JV kids moving up soon you can't help but wonder though how good Andrews varsity team would've been next year had Christensen and Rattler not transferred and had Ellis, etc. kept playing. They definitely would've eclipsed the 2011 Andrews team in terms of overall talent and depth. Though I wouldn't see them being as balanced offensively as the 2011 team, who had a solid passer an all around QB in Curtis.

I think Andrews would've pushed for a conference title next year had they not had all the attrition but no small 1A team can overcome that. I think this group of freshman stick together unlike the junior class that's there now and will be a tough out in 3 years. I'm not ready to jump on the best team in decades train yet although that may very well end up being true.

Hypothetically I don't think they would've been a true threat to Murphy at the top, not with all that the Dogs are bringing back, in large part due to the Cats being too one dimensional offensively. Of course in reality Murphy will have their own major question next season with the loss of Murray in the backfield but since we're talking hypotheticals, Smith and Crowder are playing for Murphy in this world so the backfield question is less pertinent.

As far as the 2022 team being Andrews best in decades, I couldn't say but I do know they should be a very tough out if they stay together. They will have another skill weapon in that age group on varsity (Charles) that should be a nice player for them as well. With that said they will likely have the same question mark about being too one dimensional offensively that the 2020 team would've had.
