In addition to snow, it will be cold AF. I heard that once the temp gets in the range of -20 degrees F, trees can spontaneously burst. I can't image how loud of a sound that would be echoing through the forest.
Or 12 inches in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Can’t wait for the first post claiming there’s 8 inches in Morningwood

Do you ever share pics of the amazing places you go?Lots of updates fellas! Thanks. Tgar will be at 8,000 feet in the Atacama Desert discovering what there is to be discovered and periodically looking at the radar loop for Midstate Pa. While reveling in the heat.

As for sunny Las Cruces they are saying a possible I'' of snow but it will be back into the 60's on Mon.
About 3” in the Oakland part of Pittsburgh.Significant shrinkage this weekend!
Was that the same one over Thanksgiving? It started out as freezing rain for us in Somerset, PA then switched to Thunder Snow and about 24" later and no electricity for 6 days. I remember my sister trying to get ahold of someone at PSU to tell them she couldn't get back in time to Penn State. Terms then and that would probably have been the start of winter term.It won't be as bad as the Blizzard of '78. That was the one with a foot on Thursday and 2 feet on Friday, and they shut down PSU at noon. On top of a 1-3 ft base.
PSU shut downs pretty easily these days for weather compared to when they never used to(except for like 3ft like you mentioned)It won't be as bad as the Blizzard of '78. That was the one with a foot on Thursday and 2 feet on Friday, and they shut down PSU at noon. On top of a 1-3 ft base.
I remember it well. On Friday I had to make the trek from Snyder Hall to my first period class at Willard. I was walking through snow that was just below my knees as sidewalks and walkways had not been cleared of snow. I made it back to lunch at Findlay dining hall literally wading through the snow after third period and then they decided to close campus. Sunday I had to dig my car out of the snow in parking lot 83 armed with a combo cafeteria tray-toboggan. Of course the crew to help me arrived when I was just about finished. The snow piles at the edges of parking lot 80 were piled up with large loaders (like those in Gold Rush) were around 20 feet high. Just a crazy time that I will never forget. It won't be as bad as the Blizzard of '78. That was the one with a foot on Thursday and 2 feet on Friday, and they shut down PSU at noon. On top of a 1-3 ft base.
