UF is in right now, but that loss to UGA hurt them. They can't lose out or they'll be in serious jeopardy. And with Vandy plus a trip to Lexington looming....

if we want them to lose or not. I was thinking Vandy is in no matter what, with Florida on the bubble (in), like us. They finish up at Kentucky, so if they lost to Vandy, that'd be 3 losses in a row, with another possible loss in the SECT..would make 4 in a row to end the season. Maybe that wouldn't help us...which is why I was asking the sixpack statistician, 615.

Just for good measure.<div>
</div><div>Looks like it's gonna happen too.</div><div>
</div><div>ETA: Missouri is pretty much safely in. Doesn't really matter if they lose to Iowa State. Also, Miami and South Florida aren't primary threats to the bubble right now. They'd have to pull something big out of their asses to be back on standby.</div>

although South Florida is a longshot.

Missouri is probably in regardless.

And yes, we want to finish ahead of Florida and Tennessee if we can. If we finish 3rd in the SEC, I'd think we would be a lock.

they got whupped. I know margin of victory plays little part in bracketology, but that's an embarrassing loss. I'd say both the Gophers and Cincinnati took themselves off the bubble for the moment. Cincy can still make a little noise in their last game. Tubby's team will have to win the Big 10 tourney.

We want:
NC St over VT
Colorado St over San Diego St
UConn over Notre Dame (closest call)
Charlotte over Rhode Island
Richmond over Dayton
Rutgers over Seton Hall
UAB over Memphis

NC State over Virginia Tech - VT is reeling, let them keep reeling. A win over Auburn and a VT loss gives us a higher RPI than the Hokies, and talk about a horrible schedule (but they beat the teams they were supposed to beat)
Colorado State over Dan Diego State - wouldn't hurt, but I think SDSU is done unless they somehow beat BYU and UNM in the MWC tournament.
UConn over Notre Dame - I agree. Its time to concede that the Big East is going to get eight bids, we don't need them to get nine. ND is on a late season tear. Marquette's win over Louisville put them in as well. If ND were to lose to UConn and Marquette to end the season, that would cap the Big East at eight.
Charlotte over URI - both these teams are done, but the lower team winning is always good.
Richmond over Dayton - possibly the biggest game of the night for bubble teams. Dayton is right there, and is historically favored by the NCAA. Richmond is a top 25 RPI team. A win over the Spiders would get Dayton in the picture. A loss drops them further.
Rutgers over Seton Hall - not going to happen, but it would be nice. The Hall is going to have to make the Big East semifinals to get any consideration for an at-large bid. Right now their first round game is Georgetown. If they were to beat Georgetown, they'd have to beat Villanova to get to the semifinals.
UAB over Memphis - This one is tough as well. I'm not sure UAB is a lock. And they end with UTEP, who has won 13 games in a row. There are positives to both of these teams winning. Memphis is on the bubble, but its either going to be Memphis or UAB, not both.

that Katz proferred the possibility of both UAB and Memphis making it in for C-USA with the right combination of wins. That seems to require Memphis beating UAB, so I'd prefer them out as early as possible. Best case scenario following that would be UTEP to smash UAB and then the Blazers flame out in the conference tourney (unlikely).

UTEP beat UAB, Tulsa beat Memphis and then UTEP roll through the C-USA tournament. The problem is that tournament is at Memphis, and one upset of UTEP opens that thing wide for a Tulsa-type team to grab a bid. I'm counting on 2 C-USA bids.

They have been playing that thing at FedEx for years. That worries me even more. Tulsa is good enough to win that tournament.

They were the preseason favorite in C-USA. Beat the hell outta Oklahama Stateduring the non-conference, although they have been beatenin Tulsa twice(UTEP, Memphis) so far this season.

Tulsa hosting that tourney, however, is a lot like Vandyand the SEC Tourney. It's in Tulsa, but it's not being held where Tulsa plays all of their home games. That said, fans do not travel as well in C-USA, so it'll probably be a decent home court advantage for the Golden Hurricane, unlike Nashville where Big Blue Nation will overwhelm all other fanbases combined.

I overlooked that the Dayton/Richmond game is on Thursday, as is Rutgers/Seton Hall.
In the meantime, if the SDSU score holds up we got zero help elsewhere.
