Bond was going to blow the lid off this thing by releasing "THE. TAPES!"; which are approaching "Chinese Democracy" territory at this point for delayed release, to the natural conduit for such earth shattering info- Huntsville radio. But he won't now because he didn't appreciate the portrayal of him by a sports blog that's as known for incredibly well-endowedrepresentativesas it is for sports news?

be involved? They have Pryor this and next year. I wonder if cecil and kenny were trying to make their commodity sounda little hotter than it actually was. I do believe UT though.

At the link, the guys said those last four schools were the targets of other agent investigations going on at the NCAA right now. They were saying this story goes well beyond Cam.

i don't have the time to sit around and listen to the show now, but in summary, the 97.7 hosts explicitly states they have heard the tapes and tenn ($150K) and aub ($180K) bid on newton, but not msu, and that the ncaa is looking into cases related to texas, tosu, oregon, and usc about...?

cant listen to this at work. Am I to understand that these two guys say they have heard the tapes and that Cecil personally points to UT and Auburn as bidders?

The little blurb says that Bond claims there are text messages from Cecil claiming that UT offered $150K and Auburn offered $180K. Don't know if these were texts to Bond, or the infamous missing texts to Bell. And, it clearly could have just been a negotiating ploy be Cecil and Kenny, with no basis in fact.

They also say the press got wind of the whole investigation because Urban Meyer called Pete Thamel about it. I guess that means Mullen was confiding in Meyer.

They then started talking about the FBI interest, and said that centers around agents. That Auburn has agent issues involving Cam, the two players from Louisiana and the two players from Arkansas, and that agency issues involve many schools, such as Texas, OSU, USC, etc....

My question would be does Bond now have the unwritten green light to start talking from usor is he just trying to use this to make a buck. My guess would be that we have given him the ok to talk since we have not renounced our ties to him.

But they are summarizing an earlier discussion, so maybe they said tapes earlier. Doesn't really matter; either way just because Cecil says he has other offers that doesn't mean he really got those offers.

I don't think Bond is talking. He was supposed to be on the show last week, and said then that MSU had asked him not to talk about it and he was trying to figure out what he was going to do. By not showing up this week, I think he is trying to comply with Stricklin's request, although he obviously already gave those guys some information.

Does anyone know the connection between these guys and Bond? The only other interview I have heard him grant was to his high school buddy Buck Belue.

if he said it, the NCAA could investigate and in that process find something else. Hell we no body is clean and if they dig they will find out kind of like them finding out about free long distant phone calls from a phone card and we go put on probation. They would have never learned about that if someone who they inteviewed did not spill the beans. Auburn better hope the NCAA don't come calling. They are dirty and they, the NCAA, will find somthing. They dropped the hammer on USC, to me that means they will drop the hammer on anyone.

The NCAA is still actively investigating Cam Newton's recruitment. They have interviewed contractors who worked on Cecil's church to try to find out how they got paid (they didn't), they have talked to some attorneys in Atlanta, and all indications are that they continue to look into leads regarding whether Cecil got any money from Auburn. The skuttlebutt is that so far they have not found anything.

Yesyou arecorrectand I am spliting hairs. I hope the investigations does lead to a official letter from the NCAA and they get thier asses handed to them.
