We also suck at uniforms. The new jerseys are so ugly that Bully won't even wear one.

Seriously, whose job was it to get a new jersey for Bully (the costumed mascot, not the real dog)? Sucks he had to run around in his 2011 attire.

And, I know the new uniforms have already been beaten to death here, but they are not good. I was optimistic and willing to see them in person, but, yuck. With the horizontal stripes on the shoulders and the vertical stripes on the helmets, all the players need is a bow on top and they would all look like Christmas presents. This may have been a trick of lighting and cameras, but the helmets looked like a darker shade of maroon than the jerseys.

I saw the Tennessee-NC State game, so I know that Adidas can make normal looking uniforms.

They look a helluva lot better in person that in pictures.....so I respectfully disagree.....the helmet is a darker shade of maroon, and I think it looks cool as hell....also, remember, it doesnt matter what we think about unis....its was players and recruits think, because it DOES matter to them.....

I was curious to why this board is so negative all of the time. There are very few threads or replies that had anything positive to say. I thought the team played there asses off. Did they make mistakes? Of course they did, but for a first game of the year, I thought they played better than expected. Just look how Ark, Fla, and a bunch of other teams played this week. We had no turnovers, very few penalties and put up 56 points and only gave up 9. Try giving the team a little respect before you bash everything they do. Oh, and this may piss a lot of you guys off but I love the Unis, I thought they look super sharp and Jumbo-Tron is Kick *** and I'm proud as hell we have one in Starkville, MS!

We beat the equivalent of a bad Provine High School team. The season starts next Saturday. The realists here are projecting some of the garbage they saw last night onto next week's game. In reality, there is almost zilch that happened last night that can be transferred to what will happen next week. The emotions will be running exceedingly high and the play will not resemble last night at all.

I'll add another to one the list

Mullens sideline polo, with the "Hail State" on the side, looked awful. However, I actually liked the uniforms because I thought they fitted well. Very tight and made our guys look more athletic and fast.

Seriously, SPS has what, 4K hits a day? more than any other MSU site.....think people notice? yes.....and the other boards you cannot complain or criticize on any other board for fear of bannation or being called out by all the sunshine pumpers.....I can't even tell you the last time I went to Genespage....its god awful....and one other thing while im on a coffee tear this morning, Wardlaw's new site is Genespage II.....the posters over there are cult followers like GP

The coach polos are hideous. Most of the Adidas gear is...though the uniform itself is growing on me.

I'm still torn on the uniforms...

I think it looks like a billboard with all the ribbons and at the same time I like them. I'm anxious to see how the white uniforms look, all white should look good. I agree that the polo Mulllen wore looked like it came from Dollar General or Fred's.

I agree about the uniforms-absolutely terrible. Our AD should have vetoed these uniforms when Adidas sent them to us.

This board was founded on negativity, but the idiots are in full force the last few weeks. Hell, this board was more positive going into the 2008 football season and we had a much worse team, program and coach back then.

A lot of the players looked exceptionally muscular in those jerseys. In pre-game, they showed a picture of Jonathan Banks wearing what I can only assume was the Junior high version of the new jersey. It barely covered his shoulder pads, and he definitely appeared to be Balis-made.

Hilarious.

Did you get food poisoning? This is like the 5th post you've made on them sucking. They weren't that bad in the club level. The old game dogs were better, though. The uniforms were terrible looking on the tweet, but they weren't as bad, in person.

Exactly. Our kickoff returner was dancing to the beat from the jumbotron, you think these guys took this game serious? You can't tell anything from that game last night. Bring on the tiger/plainsmen/war eagle mf's and we'll see if we suck at all of this. Well, I didn't eat a hotdog so I'll assume from the comments they will suck next week too. And I didn't take the game serious either so I didn't witness the intro video, too much going on outside to worry about getting to the scrimmage on time. And the uniforms, who gives a ****, they are maroon and they have MSU on them somewhere.

Event staff. Where do they find these people?

The East side takes forever to get into the stadium. Strip searches for cowbells at Vaught Hemmigway isn't as in depth as our very own. Can't you look at a mother of 3 standing there with husband and use a fair amount of common knowledge and realize she isn't packing a bomb in her purse?
