But only 7 in the second half, right?
Isn't that a massive improvement from everything else we've seen this year? It might not be much, but it's something.
That's an improvement I suppose. It's much more embarrassing to give up 35 in the first half to that team than it is encouraging to hold them to 7 in the second half.

Have you seen us play this year? Holding anyone to 7 in thirty minutes is cause to party.

True. Only 7 in 2nd half, which appears to have been due to some adjustments. But a really bad 35 in the first half is terrible.
Let's not put too much liptstick on this pig.

- UK picked an Int in endzone...that drive NMSU went right up and down on our D.
- NMSU dropped a long pass and if thrown better was an easy TD as UK's DBs got lost again.
- NMSU ran right thru us when they wanted even in 2nd half.

This is going to be a bottom 5 NCAA defense this year.

I stated a fact, no lipstick here. 7 points in the 2nd half. That's much better then letting them match the 35 in the first half. Agree?

Me saying this doesn't equate me saying our D is ready to take the football world by fire.

^ You and others keep looking for positives when there are none. It's not resonating that holding a terrible team to 7 second half points is menaningless. It really is.

Yeah, you're right. I'm just gonna sit over here and be mad, sad, and in a general bad mood like a jackass. Life is unlimited. I can afford to waste some of it being unhappy about nonsense.

-683 yards from our offense is a f%*king positive.
-Stephen Johnson with 310 passing yards and 50+ rushing yards ... Is a positive
-Boom Williams running for 175+ And 1 TDs is a positive.
-Benny Snell running for 130+ yards and 4 TDs is a positive.
-Incorporating our TEs today, and CJ Conrad with 3 TDs is a damn positive
-A punt return for a TD.....yep, another positive.

Sorry you live in such a dark place that you ignore those things.

Defense was bad. No question. Especially the 1st half. I was encouraged by only giving up 7 in the 2nd half. Our D hasn't had a half of football where a team has only scored 7. (NMST only had about 140 yards of offense in the 2nd half as well).

No, today did nothing to create positive momentum. While it was nice to see Johnson, Snell and Conrad get going on offense, we do have to keep in mind it was New Mexico State we were playing. More troubling is the fact that the UK defense gave up over 40 points to a terrible team. Unless we see major improvement from the defense, I can only see one more likely win (Austin Peay) on the schedule, even if the offense continues to play reasonably well.
Thanks for the comic relief. You may have found a career. Call Paul Finebaum for your time in the limelight.
