I feel like it would give us much more cred if we beat them after a win over Clemson...plus, I always pull for the SEC against other conferences that want to say they beat an SEC team. But, I also hate Auburn. I really don't know which fares better for us, if either. What say the pack?

Keep them down and deflated. I think we would've beaten them last year if they hadn't had their miracle comeback against Utah State...
Lose in a heartbreaking game
I think them losing to USF prior to playing us in 2007 helped us beat them that year. Also team confidence and being able win the close ones seems to be part of Chizik's schtick over there right now. Another thing to consider is the fact that we are basically competing with them for a bowl. If we have the same record as them at the end of the year, a better bowl will likely pick them ahead of us regardless of whether we beat them or not...it sucks, but its true.

I hope Auburn never wins another game. I hope they lose at gymnastics and swimming and softball and tennis and golf and track and eco-car and everything else. 17'em and shug jordan too.

Only cred State will get if they beat Auburn is that of a program that had to buy a player to finally beat anyone in the west other than Ole Miss.
Trolling...whatever...We, they, he, she, it....... It will still be true. ESPN, around the souteast, local won't credit State for a thing. Just constant, MSU is 2-0 and awaiting word from the NCAA on possible penalties stemming from improper contact of a recruit.
In December, when the bowl pecking order falls into place, we should all hope our wins outnumber other mid-tier SEC schools. So go Clemson and NC State. We will get the shaft even with head to head win. 1999 is a perfect example.
