for initial penalties?<div>
</div><div>wow, I thought it was closer to 8-10 skollies and 2 year bowl ban (not that a bowl ban is really a "net" penalty for MSU).</div>

...and will not get caught again. Case in point at UK: Eric Bledsoe and his magic eligibility, leading to an investigation by the Birmingham school board that found a ton of "improvements" on Bledsoe's transcript, but conveniently no proof of shenanigans.<div>(insert UK homer's "He just buckled down and studied once he knew Cal and the Cayuts wanted him!")</div><div>At least this year's Davis/Kidd-Gilchrist crop of freshmen seems much more likable than that Wall/Cousins team of preening douches.</div>

Why? More TV sets. Not Kenny Payne. If Nike feels it's in their best interest to channel talent to MSU, they will do it whether Kenny Payne is there or not.

If you can't understand this very simple point, I'm done with this conversation. You have elevated Payne to Santa Claus status.

</div><div>I have to admit that I was intrigued by Kenny Payne from the very beginning because of his work at UK and his Mississippi ties. But at the end of the day, there have been a lot of jobs open up in the last month and MSU is the only one he's even been hinted to be associated with.</div> </div>
