I think Joe Pa did what was REQUIRED (going to his superiors) but if he is truly this moral giant he and others seem to hold him up to be....he should have made sure the scumbag was prosecuted. He pulled a pontious pilot and tried to wash his hands of it by simply talking to the AD. When he saw that it was going nowhere, he should have, himself, gone to the police. Just my opinion but I can't believe he would try to fly under the radar on this deal. I think he should be prosecuted as well as the sick 17er who likes little boys.

As my grand jury testimony stated, I was informed in 2002 by an
assistant coach that he had witnessed an incident in the shower of our
locker room facility. It was obvious that the witness was distraught
over what he saw, but he at no time related to me the very specific
actions contained in the Grand Jury report.
Paterno has known about this fornearly a decade, and he chose not to do a damn thing about it. The above quote is utter BS from him.

He didn't do what was required of him. Ifhe knew about the abuse, he had an obligation to go to the police, not to the AD.
