One glaring OM Stat ...
They have a solid D (not sure if its a full 2deep just yet, but they have legit talent on the first scring) as well as a stable of receivers, led by Treadwell who is much larger than I realized.
Players with the most tackles ... 4 of 6 are DBs. And, going down lower, 5 of top 8 are DBS. There is a problem when most of your tackles are getting made by DBs. This problem may not show up when OM is playing Vandy, U LA LA, or Memphis BUT it will show up big-time in the second half of the Bama game.
Bama is averaging 285 ypg rushing. Bama has a 5 deep TB rotation that keeps fresh legs on the field. RB is the ONLY position that Bama has 5 players listed on their depth chart.
None of these RBs is averaging < 5 yards per carry and Blake Sims is averaging over 6.4. They are big, fast and will completely wear down the OM DBs.
OM has to either score really, really fast or keep their offense out on the field for extended drives. Which means, they will need to be able to run the ball. Bama is only giving up 62 yards per game on the ground. Bama may get behind in the first half; in the end, they will pound OM with their rushing attack coupled with enough passing plays to keep OM from putting 8 in the box.
