Yah just struggling with the whole snow factor most teams who played at 1PM today or near that time played in snow packed fields. I'm semi confident NIU would be a bit more on top of conditions? And again no rip on schools today thought Montini dads as an example when way above and beyond
One thought I had watching many of the games was: I really appreciate a talent like Brodner. There's a kid whose talents translate in any type of situation.....fast track on turf; slow, muddy track at Duchon; or a snow-filled track with bad footing like today. He can run over and by you in any situation on any type of surface. Not sure there is a more versatile athlete / player in the state. Add his talents to GW's defense, and it doesn't matter what type of weather GW encounters in DeKalb, the Hilltoppers will be ready.
Was impressed with Montini today as well. They adjusted their game in the first half, then had the great comeback in the 4th quarter. I thought they were dead when PR went up by two scores at the end of the 3rd. Two big pass plays and a scoop and score on defense.....and they are in the lead in a blink of an eye. I've seen that script from the Broncos too many times. Guess I should not have doubted them.
I'm not handing anyone a title either. Did not think the Palatine / Loyola game would be close. Dead wrong on that one....not sure if there was a HF hangover, but the Ramblers seemed a bit flat....got it going and seemed in control....but Palatine would not go away.
