So how do you feel about MSU football ?

There are different levels of sheepedness, & I am sure there is a range of 'I am sick of this sh*t.' I am of the opinion that last years 8-5 record was accomplished by the players, despite coaching, & Jerious Norwood did what he did by himself, despite coaching also.

I love college football more than all other sports combined. No matter how bad we are, I'll go to the games when I can.

However, I also understand those who decide to not support this mess anymore by either not going or not giving money. One thing that makes it a lot easier on me is that I am convinced that Byrne will not stand for this. Croom may not get the ax this year, but he will be gone by the end of 2009.

you have to watch other teams play to enjoy a game. I couldn't blame anyone for going, but in my eyes as soon as the national anthem is over, & the team takes the field, I am done for the day.

At the end of this season, I feel we will have reached the point that Croom is a liability to the football program, & if something is not done, it will take another 3 years after he is gone, to recover.</p>

I don't think that it will take a new coach 3 years to make us respectable nor do I think that Croom will leave the program as a trainwreck. I think that Sly has simply taken the program as far as he's going to be able to go and to be frank, it's just not good enough anymore. The next coach will be walking into a good opportunity though.

Croom has the players paying attention, working hard, and there is some decent talent on team. We just have a LOT less depth in many areas than other SEC teams. I mean, when you think about it, we're sitting at 2-5 right now but I think that a decent coach would have us at 4-3 with four winnable games left on the schedule. We're not that far away in a lot of areas, but we're certainly lightyears away in terms of coaching aptitude. I think that plugging in an energetic and competent coach could get this boat sailing in the right direction pretty quickly.

I don't agree either. If we have a 2009 season under Croom that parallels this season, & I see nothing to prove it wouldn't, except for the hope of a new OC that has full control, I think we are self-inflicting damage in 2009.

The longer that we keep Croom, the further we are from any further improvement. I cannot disagree with that at all

I am disappointed that it took the rest of our fanbase this long to see how bad he truly is, but I am glad that they are finally seeing it. There are folks at our tent and in my family who have never said one negative thing about MSU athletics that I can remember. Even they are all sick of Croom and now find him laughable.

if I travel to watch Miss. St. play. I really don't know what else to say. I love Miss. State but all I can do right now is distance myself from this team. It makes me sick to watch this offense and not being prepared to play. I will agree that IT IS TIME!

I have no hope until Crxxm is gone and really no hope for few years after he is gone. Another coach would have to come in and recruit JUCO to win instantly. Look at the players. We were overly matched at most positions last night. That is the real reason Crxxms teams suck. He hasn't a clue how to recruit. Look the QB position for a perfect example. A damn 5'9" 150lb walk on is starting over Crxxms recruits. We have a guy that is listed as 5'11" 190 playing OLB. We have a guy that is maybe 6 feet of fat playing one OT. We have sunbelt talent playing the SEC. Then when we do play the LaTechs of the world, we have equal talent but get out coached.

Point of all this, there is no reason even go to half the games left. We are over matched on the field and sideline. IF, IF we beat MTSU...enjoy it. I had plans to attend the Arkansas and OM. I ain't going and sitting in a stadium and watching State get their *** handed to them again. Like it was said in this thread, it is a wasted day and to many other things to do.

MTSU- maybe

So I could sell my Bama tickets for an amount to cover the rest of the games I have that I'd rather not attend.

I feel like I have to show up to games I've already bought.

What would you figure that we hopeless marooners could get for our Bama tickets in T-Town? I've got 2 about half way up the upper deck in the corner of the endzone. MSU section. Not great seats, but those Tide fans are ravenous.

If the 2 that voted for the 1st option are serious, God bless you.

It must be wonderful to be so young and full of hope.

Guess what? Life will kick you in the nuts.

Soon.

Mr. Byrne, it's time.

yesterday was $100. Tide fans are always ridiculous, but now that at least some portion of their fanbase believes that they're going to win the NC, you should be able to rack up.

And while we are at it, how about some of the other coaches as well? I know most people on here don't care anything about the non-revenue sports, but shouldn't we at least expect them to compete? I'm not expecting routine SEC championships given our lack of resources, but geez...look at this: So far this fall in the SEC, our women's volleyball team is 1-8 and soccer is 0-8.

How about a "career day" at MSU for head coaches? Coaches from all over the country can come visit and drop off resume's. <sarcasm> Or maybe we just pick names from the Yellow Pages. I've never played soccer, but I"m pretty sure I could coach us to 0-8.

I throw up a little in my mouth every time I think about having to go to the game this weekend. What a waste of a good hunting weekend.

This Saturday I watched the Sex and the City movie with my wife and didnt even know the score of the game until Sunday. I did this under no protest. Croom can kiss my ***. I have no more emotion for MSU football.
