We upgrade in talent EVERYWHERE except corner, assuming Cox plays safety. With Collins calling plays and Townsend coaching there I don't think we'll have much of a drop off in productivity though. I wouldn't be surprised if as a group we had more picks in '13.

We finally get some monster pass rush with Jones, and in a lot of games that was our struggle. I don't know about the '13 class, but the '12 class is going to have a lot of impact this year with Jiles and the Browns. Jones could have an even bigger impact than F. Cox had as a freshman.

Defense: +1.5* (NW? U of OM?) *if including redshirts

We return our entire OL, our QB, our starting RB (Griffin hurts but we have good guys behind him), and add height to the WR position. If there's a position coming out of high school the most transferable to college play it has to be WR. These guys as a group are a lot more talented than the 2008-09 class. I think there will be some growing pains but I think a guy like Ross is going to be able to do a lot more than some of our 2's, 3's, and 4's from this year.

Offense: +/-0

I really hope the rest of our fanbase

adjusts their expectations around next year's schedule.

We should be able to manage 6-6 without pulling any upsets, but the auburn and Arkansas games won't be cakewalks this year.

7 or more wins we should feel pretty good about.

Ha, good luck. We almost crucified our team last year for going 8-4. But I will say this, in year 5 of Mullen, we should expect to at least go 6-6, even with a tough SEC sked plus one tough OOC opponent.

Until the balance of power shifts in the SECw, the best we can hope for is 6-7 wins in the odd numebred years and 7-9 wins in the even numbered years.

No, we almost crucified our HC for not really giving a **** the second half of the season. We almost crucified the DC for playing like a complete ***** all year. And we almost crucified our OC and HC for making some baffling play calls on the offensive side of the ball.

The team follows the leaders. When the leaders dont lead, you cannot expect a team of 18-22 y/o to be "successful" on their own.
