So, how long do we leave Relf in this weekend against Alcorn?

You were wrong about Miles and Jefferson as I pointed out
You're wrong about us doing it
You're wrong about Russell being an effective runner

While we should let Ralph go the entire 1st half and then give Russell the 2nd- I'm sure we will probably bring Russell in on the 3rd series and then alternate from there the rest of the half and then give Russell the 2nd half. Ralph has earned his right to enjoy running the offense against the easy teams for awhile.

(OK, I was wrong about that to)

Yeah, I'm sure that we'll start Relf. I'd be more surprised if we didn't. I looked it up and I was thinking about Ryan Perriloux starting against MTSU in 2007- found out that he started because Flynn had a sprained ankle. I get all of LSU's black QB's mixed up from Herb Tyler forward except for JaMarcus Russell. But anyway I didn't say that we WOULD do it- and the only way that I would make a claim like that would be if I had some sort of inside info- which I don't.

While my idea is unconventional, I highly doubt that if we did start Tyler that it would destroy team chemistry and ruin the team. When we did have a two QB system during the Memphis game, we put up 49 points. Alcorn is way worse than Memphis. I do think that Relf should start against against anyone else that we play, and I don't think that there is any question in anyone's mind that he is the starter. Relf gives us the best chance to win against a SEC team. Against a SWAC team, it wouldn't matter. Everyone is going to get their reps regardless of who starts.

But I'm not wrong about Tyler Russell being an effective runner. I don't know what he has to do to prove to you that he is. If he bust out a Steve McNair type run, you would just discredit it to luck or some other BS like that. Really, all we need to do is get him some WR's and develop them and we will be a really effective team as far as throwing and running the ball. Then we can truly spread it around. I can't wait until then, because I think it's going to be really something to watch when Tyler, Bumphis, Carr, Morrow, and even Chris Smith become upper classmen.

we didnt miss him against Georgia.

We differ on effective runner. An effective runner is going to run for 4-500 yards in this offense. I dont think Tyler can do that. A good or really good runner is going to have 600+ yards...Ralph is on pace for 750-800 yards. I definitely consider him to be an above average runner.

Tyler in no way looks like he could be an effective runner in a spread option attack. After watching him vs LSU, he looked like he was about to get hurt when he ran the triple that last time. He does a good job in the pocket and is going to be a solid QB in the future- but it won't be in a spread option attack

your boy Russell is going to throw for about 4 more TD's against the Corn...We were throwing it up 42-7 on Memphis, we won't back off on Alcorn
