today, it said that qualifying for that makes me eleigible for schollys on top of that. I have a 3.2 and a 25 on the ACT. for those with experience what would i be looking at, if anything at all, on top of the waiver?

I graduated with a 3.33 and a 27 on my ACT and I don't think I got offered anything. That may be because band got first crack at meto offer mea scholarship but I'm not sure.

My wife had a 4.06 GPA and got a 30 on the ACT, and got $10,000 a year. I had a friend who got $12,500 a year because she had a higher ACT score, but I'm not sureif that was the ceiling or how muchany of this haschanged since my wife and I got accepted almost 6 years ago.

I think I had to havea 28 when I was in school. I remember because I had to make at least that or I would not have been able to go to state.

You might find some small scholarships that you are elligible for but I wouldn't expect much on top of the OOS waiver.

I got my letter this past week too. I live in-state so I don't know how much it helps, but State offered me 26,000 over 4 years with a 4.0 GPA and 32 ACT, not including major-specific scholarships. That's current so hopefully that helps.</p>

Did the scoring for that evil test change?

MSU dropped the min standard? Big business, even in education. Gotta love it.

It also depends on what department you're going into. I won't go into numbers, but a friend of mine with roughly equivalent high school marks was dumbfounded when she heard how much more I get from the engineering school than she gets from music. I know engineering gives relatively more and bigger scholarships than the average department; I don't know about any others.

If I remeber correctly, 25 may qualify but it may not get you anything. Best advice I can give is to go in and make the highest grades you can your first semester and then apply for departmental. If you can pull a 4.0 that first semester, I'd almost guarantee you can get more money then.

what's the cost of living at State like for a year? living expenses would be including apartment or condo not a dorm.

3.2 and a 25 would probably get you in here. No out of state tuition. Just sayin.

I overheard her conversation with the parents of a potential student.
So, I was curious. I made a 32 on the ACT back in my day, didn't get squat.
Times have changed.

It seems to be rather complex.
It depends on your major, your ACT score, your GPA/grade average, and some intangibles during the evaluation of your application.
In other words, there's not a simple answer, a simple formula.
My advice: Just throw in what you have, and hope for the best.
If you don't get what you need, go to JuCo for a couple of years, bust your ***, and reapply.

That is all.
