So I was at Ole Miss last Saturday....

....and sometime in the 2nd half, I think it was South Carolina that had a 4th and 1, and instead of doing a handoff to the running back, or a rollout play-action, they actually had the quarterback take the ball and push it forward to get the first down.

Anybody know if this is legal? They didn't throw a flag, so I'm thinking maybe our coaching staff just hasn't heard of it.

P.S. I saw the Superhero Squad out in the Grove. They've added a few members since the infamous photo was taken. I saw Ironman, Wolverine, maybe Mr. Incredible, all in addition to the other members of the Justice League. I was a little scared some hepatitis might jump off the costumes and run over and get me, so I stayed well clear.

I think Crxxm has been researching this thing called the QB Sneak here in year 5. He hasn't gotten the chemistry right for the play to occur but he is doing some strong research into developing a version that is pure, that is what could be called the perfect play call. Somehow he missed it in his history books maybe he thought the play never existed. But he claims he has found the 119th element. The one so many people already know about but yet was so elusive to him. Wxxdy still calls ******** on this though so the QB Sneak hiatus continues until both come to agreement.

is this part of that new Spread offense everyone is talking about. Sounds like only an offensive genius could come up with such trickery.

I don't understand what Spurrier was thinnk on the 4th and 1 at the end of the game. The QB sneak had worked a few times before and instead they decide to hand off on the last play. Didn't make a whole lot of sense

...since Ole Miss immediately turned it around and threw the Romero Miller Special interception straight to the guy in the other helmet.

it's in the Boise State offense on NCAA. Maybe it's actually akin to the statue of liberty. Hmmmmm...

The only downside to a QB sneak is that it doesn't give the Dline chance to get into the backfield! So it's pretty much cheating..

I look for new rules to come out in the next year or two pretty much outlawing it. So Croom is ahead of the curve if anything.

I think the missing ingredient is a real QB (not the artificial, low-quality kind we've been using). Maybe he'll try it when we have one of those.

....a big ol' fat guy (the "dunlapped" variety), wearing a brown cutoff shirt saying "Git-R-Dun", tucked into black jeans, and wearing a Rebel flag visor much like this one:

I was not fast enough on the trigger with the phone camera to get a shot of this guy, but all he was missing was a handlebar mustache.

I just pray i never run across a state fan wearing anything close to that. I've see n the maroon wigs and togas but nothing too extreme in up in person. (excluding Rick's Rowdies)

I saw the same guy (and additional three dressed in similar fashion) tailgating
off Old Taylor Road.

But I also saw no less than THREE S Carolina fans wearing the "critter" gameday khakis, and two were also wearing flip-flops.

I saw and heard that guy, and thought he had to be a joke transplanted directly from a Larry the Cable guy comedy special. He was not.
