So I was reading Mullen's facebook page

He just updated it to say how good the practice went this morning, and how much the team is improving each day.

Of course, the first comment I saw was some woman complaining about the team practicing on Sunday morning.

when I got Mullen's tweet this morning. "They are practicing on a Sunday morning??!" But it is the NCAA more than anything. They only allow so many days, you have the kids together and focused. He needs to take advantage of that. I understand. I just hope he had some worship time available for those who choose to do so.<div>

Don't get me wrong, I think it is important to give the players a chance to worship. I was just a little ticked that people found it necessary to call Mullen out for having a Sunday practice. If that's all they had to comment on, they should have just refrained from commenting in the first place.

sponsored by Upward Football and Billy Graham! "Let's have a goshdang good time!"

As a Christian, I beseech this woman for Pharaseeism.

Look, all teams have chaplains. Guess what they do? That includes MSU. And if we don't, I'm sure that there are many ministers from all over the state that are MSU fans that would LOVE to be our chaplain for free.

This is another thing that I hate about many MSU fans- in addition to always wanting the back-up QB in. For some reason, we seem to have a higher percentage than normal of people who decide that when they go to a MSU sporting event that they simulataneously are up for a Deacon nomination or something. I mean, let's face it- God loves LSU. You know it. I know it. We all know it. Chris Garrett knew it.

Now, I do not proclaim to know all of God's ways, but I think my Minister accidentally figured out why God loves LSU. (That wasn't the sermon) But he made a good point- if you look in the New Testament, the times when Jesus is angry is NOT at the sinners (LSU) but at the religious people at the time (MSU). Thus we suffer for our pridefulness. (We may have lost, but I'm going to Heaven- right Jesus? Uh...Jesus?)

What their Minister(s) have obviously failed miserably at is teaching them that we as Christians are to not judge others- mainly because we have plenty of sin in our own lives- we can't save ourselves much less others! What they are doing when they act holier than thou is they are actually doing God's job for him, and are essentially saying "God, I don't trust you to judge this person, so I'm going to do it for you", and when they do that, they are putting themselves on a level plane than God, and that's a BIG sin. One of the Ten Commandments in fact. And God is fully capable of judging all of us. Make no doubt about it.

As a Christian, I want to say this to the sixpack. The next time someone chastises you at a game in the name of God for saying something not nice about the team, politely go get an usher to escort them out of the stadium. Tell them that you are having them escorted out of the stadium for blasphemying the name of God by judging you, and explain to them that God will judge you, and them and is fully capable of doing so without their help. Tell them that by doing so, they are placing them on anequal plane with God, and that is a violation of the Ten Commadments, and you will not stand for that.

As far as Dan, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we had a church service of some kind. I hope we did. Odds are that we did, and whether we did or not is irrelevant to a practice report, unless we're having a live animal sacrifice as part of the pre-game.

Amen.

And there's no Scriptural prohibition on judging the behavior of others; rather there's a strong warning against judging hypocritically. Matthew 7 is probably one of the most mis-quoted passages of Scripture.

Well, it was just castration, not sacrifice. And Matthew 7 is misunderstood and even moreso misquoted. We will curely know them by their fruits. (back off sickos)

Don't want to offend anyone's religous beliefs, but I thought animal sacrifice was OK per the Old testament which is part of Jewish, Christian and Muslim religions.

Tim Tebow ("The Chosen One") practiced on Sunday too (Now he will be playing on Sundays). He never had a problem with the Sunday practices. This is just some Rebel trying to say Mullen is preaching Scientology to his players and hates Jesus. Me personally, I could care less what our coaches or players believe in, as long as they blow Old Mess off the field each year.
