So if the Big Ten is not done expanding, how does this impact future of the Big 12?
Wish you guys would quit this mindless squabbling. Expansion isn't being based on wins and losses, "brands", or any other metric. It's solely based on markets. With Texas and Oklahoma the SEC wrapped up the second largest market in the country. With the addition of USC and UCLA the B10 wrapped up the largest market in the country. The third largest? Florida. The next expansion will come from there. FSU and Miami wrap up Florida and the SEC will grab them as soon as its expedient to do so. One could also count Notre Dame, too. But they are their own market. Where does that leave WVU? Simple, out in the cold. For example, just one COUNTY in Florida, Dade County, has 1 and a 1/2 times the entire population of this state. That's just one, there are a few others not quite as big but bigger than WV. WVU could win the next 10 national championships and that wouldn't change a thing. It's as simple as that.
