that burning the redshirt - even if he is unbelieviable - is horrible this late in the game. But Croom is trying to save his job so you can't fault him for that. And like you said, if he is so good, why didn't he play earlier?

In the case of injury, I could understand.

But assuming that's not the case, there is no excuse for it.

I'm having a hard time believing he actually went out of his way to talk about playing someone new that is a WR in the 8th game.

Surely Clark isn't the one.

Pegues playing some offense would be worth discussing......a freshman WR than hasn't played all year and wasn't highly recruited isn't. ---In my opinion.

If Croom was my coach, I'd be pissed too. He acts like all this is fun....teasing and stuff. It's only fun if you're winning.

The problem is I think you can fault him for that, and his decision to start burning redshirt years is bad for MSU not just Croom. The only way MSU and Ole Miss can actually compete against LSU/AU and the like are to have seasoned veterans that are 4th and 5th juniors and seniors respectively that can compete physically with these teams. That is what Wake Forest has done and in 2003 that is why Ole Miss had a decent DL, pretty much everyone of them was a 5th year senior Jesse Mitchell, Charlie Anderson, josh cooper.

Just glad Cut RS Eli his freshmen season, instead of throwing him in the mix in 1999 in the 8th game of the season. I enjoyed Eli's senior year much more than I would have enjoyed him playing a handful of snaps in 1999. If Clark is any good, you are going to wish you had his redshirt year back.

If Croom is coaching with the thought that he knows he is going to get fired, then he might as well get fired already before he does more dumb **** like burning redshirt years.

and if that's what he feels like he has to do win games, then that's what it is.

But I in no way agree in playing Clark. Burning the redshirt this late in the game is a horrible idea.
