Still sporting a 6s. What's a 7?**
I'm using a 7 now but the battery has about crapped out. Checked with Apple about installing a new battery $349. Got on Verizon web site and I can buy a brand new 7 for $299.
Passcode every time when I’m at the office is really pissing me off. Apple needs to get on the retina scan or something with next iOS.
Can't you turn the passcode off?
The price of the battery was only 49.99, the rest was labor and shipping cost. I'm currently relying on a mophie battery case to get me through the day. My theory is that once they introduce the newest model, the 7 will be $199.Did they purposefully make the battery harder to replace to force people to buy new ones? I've changed the battery out twice for my current phone and I think it was under $100 each time. Still a big chunk compared to buying new, but I I've gotten two+ good years out of each battery.
Apparently not on the XR. There’s a “Turn passcode off” option in the settings, but it’s grayed out and you can’t select it on the XR. I also have the X as a personal phone (XR is my work phone), and you can turn it off on that one.
Anyway, I’m not real comfortable not having a passcode anyway, but it seems like now you’re almost forced to on the newer models.
I'm guessing your IT dept may have deactivated the turn off passcode option.
