someone predicted Byrne would fire Polk and was correct when Polk retired?

You know alot more about the baseball program than I do, but I was under the impression Polk's retirement wasn't 100% voluntary based on his actions towards Byrne afterwards. I realize Raffo not being hired was most of that, but whether or not Byrne had the stones to stand up to Polk was also part of the post. </p>

and how he handled the situation, I would have to believe that he would fire Polk, had Polk not retired.

There was no way to avoid the shitstorm that followed unless we gave in to Polk and hired Raffo.
