So lets say we get a win tomorrow..at that point we are 3-0 in the tournament..As I understand it, the tourney becomes single elimination at that point? That is the biggest crock of bull **** ever..there literally is no advantage to winning your first three games. Am I understanding this correctly? If so, someone at the SEC office should be put before a firing squad for this horrendous excuse for a bracket..Good thing we got those last two teams in, though..

We do get one advantage in that we get a bye on Friday while the other teams have to play using up more pitching.<div>
</div><div>Either way with a 10 team tourney no one is going to have much pitching left by the last day.</div>

I understand you get a bye on Friday, but this is all in the name of being able to add Ole Miss and Auburn to the tournament field? Not trying to argue, just dont understand what the SEC saw in this. Either do 8 or 12 and leave it at that.

and like rem said, the fact that KY and UF got to beat one team and jump straight to Thursday literally makes no sense whatsoever..this was a pretty ****** attempt at including everyone by the SEC in my opinion

for some teams that could already be 5 games deep

no team in america would want to play 9 games in 6 days ...4 days before a possible regional

what would you do if winner of game 10 lost game 15, only having 1 lost, make winner of game 15 play them again to go to the championship game...

The highest seeded teams to win in session 1 and session 2 on day 1 get a bye until Thursday. That's why I was rooting for OM to win yesterday. If they had won and we had won, we would have gotten the bye today and been in UK's current position because we were seeded higher than OM. But we just beat LSU, so it's hard to say I'mupset about the outcome.

I understand the way the bracket flows..I just dont get why the SEC forced this one everyone..if they were hell bent on 10 team tourney, why did they not give the top 2 teams in the conf byes and a standard double elimination tourney from there? Its justconvolutedfor no reason

on the first day, win and get a bye on wednesday and face 2-0 team on thursday ...then if you were the #1 team you would whine with your starter not having enough rest (so you would save him and throw midweek guy) and if you lost to a quality team and have a huge hole to climb out of if you lost game 1.

I'd rather play Tues vs 10 seed, Thurs, Sat than Wed vs a winner, Thurs and Sat.

The last regular season series is Th/Fr/Sat so if your starter goes on four days rest, you could throw your #1 on Thursday in regular season and on Tuesday in tournament.
