They've been brainwashed into believing this whole "this is our coach, I shall follow" type of crap instead of realizing these guys are getting paid mega bucks out of OUR pockets to get a job done. Job security at State is beyond safe. Bottomline is the Tennessee's of the world want it. The Alabama's of the world want it. Hell, let's not stop there. Let's face it, the Ole Miss's of the world want it. Our problem is we've got a loser *** defeatist attitude that has been driven from the university execs all the way down to the average fan for years and continue until someone (Byrne, hopefully) puts an end to it.

I wonder what would happen if the same type of thing were happening with our basketball and baseball programs as well. Does the moderate success we have in basketball as well as the optimism we have for our baseball program take some of the focus off of the failures of our football program for some of our fans?

Far too many of our fan and donor base have bought into this defeatist attitude that Mississippi State can never be successful and we should just be glad to continue to support a losing program. Jackie Sherrill almost had that attitude defeated, but then he <17>ed it up and <17>ed us over in his last 3 seasons.

although they don't insist on being in the SEC championship every year, they have a point below which the program should never dip. And that has been my argument to fire Croom. I am prepared for us not to be a great team every year. But, this 3-9, get beaten by Maine ******** should get your *** fired. The team should never dip that low. Maybe we go 5-7 in a horrible year. And his *** should give us at least 7 wins the next year to redeem himself.

I may be a defeatist or something in that I don't expect a damn championship season all the time. But, it's the damn train wreck season that piss me off and should never happen.

And the train wreck is the reason phat phil is gone. And it will be the reason ears is gone as well.
