From a few years back...Is there any way we can get the man back in the PA seat at basketball games..I believe it would work wonders to bring the atmosphere back to the Hump for hoops

There was no rush to judgement. There was definitely a very loud majority that wanted him gone from football but stay for basketball so Byrne went with the wishes of the fans. He wasn't removed from basketball, only football but chose to not do basketball himself after learning he would no longer be doing both.

I still think that was the right move. I despised him for football but thought he brought something special for basketball though.
