You want me to kick Huggs? OK. I will. If his program starts looking a circus again, with him doing the drunken stumble in the center ring, the howling will be resurrected. That good enough for you? And, as I have said many times, If Huggs maintains a relatively stable program and his team is competitive on the court you won't hear the howling. But Huggs got nothing to do with this. In my opinion, on THAT night against THAT team in THAT game a more accurate QB could have made a serious run at 700 yards passing. And I base that on numerous inaccurate passes that could have easily accounted for another 100-150 yards or more. There were 23 incomplete passes in that game. If that number is reduced to say, 15, meaning another 8 completions, and considering that he completed 28 passes for 532 yards at 19 yards a completion, if you multiple an additional 8 completions by 19 yards you get an extra 152 yards. 532 + 152 = 684 yards. (BTW completing 36 of 51 passes would have been a completion percentage of 70%. You telling me that no one has every completed 70% of their passes in a game? Look at THIS and see that a number of college quarterbacks had CAREER completion percentages right around 70%. Look at the Top Ten on that list and see how many of those guys some guy named Dana Holgorsen coached. I understand that you disagree with me. And that's OK. But quit making yourself look silly. 50 Division 1 quarterbacks finished THE SEASON with higher QB ratings than Howard had in that bowl game. The better passers at the upper end of the QB rating scale could have made a serious run at 700 yards in THAT game on THAT night. And those 70% career completion guys could have made a run at 700 on THAT night too. I'm glad that we won and that Sky had a big game. But let's not act like it was an amazing performance. It wasn't. But it was good. And now.... I'm out. You may now console yourself with more name calling and raising issues that have nothing to do with the Cactus Bowl and the ability of superior college football quarterbacks. One more thing .... go ahead and lecture me again about my knowledge and I promise to not respond and let you have the last word. See how nice I can be?
