Their preseason top ten looks like this [WHAT? no Notre Dame?]:

<font size="2">1. Florida
2. Oklahoma
3. Texas
4. USC
5. Ohio State
6. Alabama
7. Penn State
8. Virginia Tech
9. Oklahoma State

As far as OM's ranking, I'll stick with my prediction that The Flagship finishes top 15, but not top 10. I see losses to 3 of UT, Bama, LSU, AU, Arkansas, and SC.

They had a lot of freshman on that defense last year that will be much better this time around, not to mention they return almost all of that offense from last year. The OU/UT game should be classic this year.

If that. Maybe Bama/lsu. UM is pretty much loaded for bear the way I see it. Hope I'm wrong, but I give credit where credit is due.

if they play like they did in the second half of last year, there's a good chance that they'll lose at most 2. if they play like they did in the first half, i'd guess 7-8 wins.

Ohio State made a big leap in the Fiesta.
LSU made a big leap with Chavis, Jefferson, and the great Peach Bowl.

Then I would have talent laden teams like: Georgia, FSU, Oregon

I rather mow the lawn than watch OM or Virginia Tech play. OSU plays exciting ball, but their a Texas Tech style B12 team that scores but can't tackle.

Va. Tech has been the most consistent team in the ACC, and I'm sure they are the pre-season favorite in the ACC. If they follow through on that and go 10-3 with an ACC title, they'll be around 8-10, so I have no problem with their ranking. It's probably pretty accurate.
