Raymond Cotton. COULD jump right into Favre's spot and has the talent/potential to be good in our offense with proper development. Legit dual threat. It'd give us a safety blanket at qb that will be either a rs soph or jr(not sure which), and would take ALL the pressure off Scheussler and allow him to redshirt in peace.

For all I know, he could be signed somewhere else already. Very little info on him easily available through google...

RT @RossDellenger: Raymond Cotton is not expected to sign with JSU today. His plans are very much up in the air.

that is pretty good on your part... makes sense.

I really can't see Mullen giving Cotton a chance. He got kicked out of both OM and South Alabama right?

Just checked his twitter and instead of the usual wake and bake posts he said he was going to nashville to train and ready to catch some touchdowns again.

But it may allow us to red shirt Nick and if he is walking on its low risk with no investment.

not sure about South Alabama. Got his feelings hurt about being buried on the depth chart at OM and not being invited to the Manning passing camp(he had a torn labrum during this time). I quit following his career after OM.

Not by any means saying he could come in and compete for a starting spot, hence the idea of a walk-on role. IMO, he HAD tremendous physical tools, just has mental obstacles that(still) need to be overcome. He'd be a project for sure. But like has been said, zero investment risk, why not try? Dude has all the "tangibles" http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Raymond-Cotton-79218
