But one thing to remember is that Scott Stricklin's first job was at Auburn. I'm guessing he may still have some affinity for them which means he may not really want them to get hammered. It's very possible that not only does he want State to stay clean in all of this but that he has no real interest in pulling Auburn down - which may be why he's asked Bond to keep the tapes to himself (if that is indeed what we've asked Bond to do).
On a related note, I don't think these tapes (assuming they are legit) are going to be the smoking gun that some people want them to be. I have a feeling that even if they are proven to be legit, the SEC and NCAA will find a way to discredit them enough to let Auburn off the hook. Because at this point, Slive only cares about keeping Auburn's reputation (and by extension his own) clean. Cam is irrelevant since he is no longer a college player.
