Saw his Vandy postgame presser. He's done. Terrible attitude and answers.

Goes back to my previous thread asking, does he even make it to end of the year?

Not only does he not sound like he has any answers, he sounds like he doesn't care to find any answers. He looked like a coach who knows he's done, so he's mailing it in.

As I've previously stated in game threads, there are Y League teams that are more organized than this team.
The new game of CBB has left LP behind and he has given up.

I did not see the game, but this is what it sounded like in his presser.

Kind of sad compared to the '23-'24 season. He seemed like a brilliant coach. Now he looks lost and clueless.
I did not see game either, however i did see the Presser, he looked like he was smiling and didnt really seem to care how BAD this team is. I am not sure if anyone could revive this program, but would love to give someone else a try!

I think Paris is more likely to go at the end of this season if this continues. If next season is produce or else for Shane Beamer, I do not think Donati wants to fill 2 major positions in the same year. But, I'm not a mind reader.

In my mind it's only a question of whether Donati waits until the end of the season. I can't envision a scenario in which Paris is retained.

Thanks for the needed laugh. Have to go to the dentist in a couple of hours. I expect the verdict to be an expensive crown.
I don't know about your area, but around here there is a new ''dental palace'' on every corner and somebody's gotta pay for it.
Hold on to your wallet!

I played high school football and am friends with my Dentist's Dad. And she's good, probably the best dentist I have ever had. Thanks though for the tip.

You are lucky. I've reached that age where all my doctors and dentists have retired and I've had to start over which is not fun once you've got them trained.;)
I just got back. They got me in early. I lucked out. She put in a filling instead of going the crown route, to my pleasant surprise. She said if it does not hurt when I bite down, then that will do. If it hurts, then I will have to have a crown. I'll see.

I know what you mean about doctors/dentists retiring. I miss my previous doctors. Those I have now are not like the ones who retired/passed away. I don't think they are as good. I don't know why that is, but it's true. You would think it would be the opposite.

My wife has a crown that was put in over 30 years ago and had a new one put in 2 years ago which she has already had problems with, so I know what you mean.

Tanner could hire em couldn’t he? Guy was an absolute forest fire as AD. Is there a worse athletic department in the sec?

Well it's a good thing we didn't fire him at the end of last season like we should have.

For the "he needs more time" fans among us, we needed to prove to them that we were good and dead first. We're on track......:rolleyes:.... I can almost hear them now, "We could go on a run.....":rolleyes::ROFLMAO:

I would agree, this was not a good hire in the first place.

If the AD's job was limited to hiring coaches, you may be right. But it isn't.
Correct.

Florida football hirings sure have been worse for years. And, I’m glad we weren’t dumb enough to hire Jimbo Fisher at his buyout! Can you imagine if Tanner had done that?

Paris was talking in riddles, the old "baffle them with bull$h!t" ploy.

I recall a post-practice presser in 2015 in the midst of the Hoke/Ward debacle. A reporter asked Hoke some question about the defense and why we did/didn't do this or that (don't recall the details). Hoke gave some smug, sarcastic reply without answering the question and then told the reporter "I'll let you think about that and see if you can figure it out" (that was the gist of the comment). It's what Paris' presser reminded me of. The ship is going down.

Paris' contract is eye watering if he is fired. Having to pay a BASKETBALL coach $4+million a year for four more years is brutal for South Carolina.

Why ADs continue to give huge raises and extensions to coaches after they have one good season baffles me. I'm sure when Paris signed that new contract after the '23-'24 season, he knew he was set for life and didn't have to worry about results anymore.
