Since they technically boycotted practice yesterday does it count as a practice?

They are only allowed so many practices so do the coaches have to eat this one or will they just count practice today for yesterday?

Semantics, I know, it was just something I was wondering aloud.

Practices get canceled and made up at a later date for different reasons all the time. Inclement weather, for example. I would assume it simply gets rescheduled.

That’s what I was wondering. It would be funny as hell If they just lengthened today’s practice and the players were up asking for it.

Might not. Did they walk off the field, or just never show up?

So instead of a 3 day weekend, they are practicing on a Friday afternoon? Now I have to question their sanity.

My suggestion would have been to make it up after the first loss of the season.

Coach Leach: “Remember the practice y’all skipped out on? Well, suit up and get back out on the field and start running wind sprints. I’ll let you know when we’re done.

So the players got to speak their minds, no actual practice time was missed, and Leach publicly supported them. Seems like really not as big of a deal as some people are making out to be.

Correct - SEC rules this year allow 25 practices between August 17 and Sept 26. So 38ish days to get in 25 practice sessions leaves some days for water parking, protesting, and coviding.
