So this dude's wail on twitter showed up in my feed this morning. Someone's Daddy never hugged him enough. Or maybe he's still lashing out after hitching his wagon to ole Mitt. (Oh I see that the words "butt" and "hurt" when combined make a magical "********")

Disappointed that Miss State fans are more excited than LaSalle fans that Ole Miss loss. Didn't realize there was so much hate. Pretty sad

I know Garrett and he comes from a great family. He isn't acting any differently than the majority of the posters on here.

Great family? I don't give a ****. In one night, it's like the verbal venom and bile I heard from black bear neighbors and relatives for 13 years during The Kang's reign didn't really happen.

Wtf does Romney have to do with it? Why do you people always have to try to "slyly" (in your own ignorant minds) fold politics into something?

Somebody needs to remind Garrett Jackson ...

..that when a 7-0 MSU football team got beat by Alabama last fall, the collective orgasms released from Oxford were so intense, Lafayette county registered 6.5 on the Richter scale.

Young Master Garrett obviously did not achieve a 24 on the English section.

I was a Romney voter. I'm not injecting politics. But this guy has 30,000 twitter followers just because he is a campaign aid to a Presidential candidate. I would expect a bit more restraint and intellectual honesty from someone of that stature.

Does he think Texas A&M and Texas fans don't trash each other in sports? Or Alabama and Auburn don't relish the losses by their rival?

actually, the Aggie majority usually does root for Texas against any other state. It's a state of Texas thing.

I was thinking upon this last night. Why am I unable to bring myself to root for Ole Miss at any time? Even against the sanctimonious whores down on the plains? I can't do it. The best I can manage is to remain quiet whether they win our lose.

That was certainly not my experience with Aggie fans, nor with Longhorn fans. Though I would agree that most didn't seem to care as much about the other as State/UM fans, I don't recall many actually cheering for the other.

things between them are testier now than ever because of the longhorn network fiasco. In general, normal times they have a whole lot more respect for each other than we ever thought about having for omu or vice versa. Texans in general are going to root for other texas kids Baylor, tech, TCU etc. Now, aggie's and red raiders do not get along at all. Just my theory on what I have experienced. Things are different now since the SEC move. It will settle back to how it was when insults are forgotten.

Conversation between me and my wife last night:

W: Who are we pulling for?
M: LaSalle.
W: Where is LaSalle?
M: . . . Um. I don't know.

17 Ole Miss and 17 this butt-hurt *****.

After 22+ years of ...

actually, the Aggie majority usually does root for Texas against any other state. It's a state of Texas thing.

Military service, I can truthfully say that I NEVER ran into a 'single' Aggie that rooted for Texas in anything ... period. I even have an Aggie friend that in the mid 90's drove all night to Austin just to pull go 'AGAINST' Texas when they were playing Notre Dame. He is not Catholic AND he hates ND.

OM - State hate will never rise to the level of A&M and T'sips. When Texas started the Texas Network, it was the 'final nail' and A&M could not be in the same conference.

I completely disagree. I haven't experienced that at all here. I live in Texas and I'm married to an Aggie and I believe she'd just as well see our house burn to the ground as she would see "t.u." win at anything. In fact, when Texas was in the NC against Bama a few years ago, there were tons of A&M folks posting 'Roll Tide' on Facebook. A constant theme I kept seeing was (paraphrasing) "Ya know, I want to have some sort of 'Big 12' or Texas pride, but I just can't bring myself to root for those ********. Roll Tide Roll."

Now, when it comes to Baylor, Tech, TCU, UNT, UTEP, Houston, Rice, SMU, Texas State, or UTSA, they're all pretty much equal to Southern Miss or maybe Memphis. Like, you don't really wish them ill, but you don't like it when they get obnoxious. So, you're ok with them being good as long as they're not all in your face about it and/or start thinking they're something that they're not.

But no, I've been here about 10 years now and I've never seen Aggies and Longhorns exhibit anything close to SEC stereotype camaraderie.

Waitaminute, waitaminute...

Ole Miss lost last night?

I was more worried about The Walking Dead. Sorry I missed the hatefest.

Guilty...

I think it's something about being out of the footprint.

Like, I can take somebody from LSU bashing Bama, but some ******* Longhorn fan, for some reason that I can't abide.

It seems to be especially bad for people I know in Big Ten country, what with all the AAU snootiness.

I had no idea at all who Garrett Jackson is until I googled him. But ... had Romney won, he would have undoubtedly had a pretty high appointed position in the administration. That's scary. He can't even write a correct sentence.

I usually pull for the SEC school, especially in football bowl games. I even pulled for Alabama over ND this past season.

However ... I'm definitely going to pull for FLGC over Florida. Gotta like that team ... hope they make it all the way.
