so Sharon Fanning and Rick Stansbury are basically the same coach

When Fanning sucks, she really sucks. Stansbury has never seen years like she has had.

On the other hand, SEC Women's basketball is the more often than not the #1 conference in the land.

one has is at 65% and one is at 55%

and you can bet her SOS is higher than Stansbury's with the strength of the SEC in women's basketball

and some other good 3 pt shooters makes for a pretty damn good team. Isnt Power one of the school's best 3 pt shooters percentage-wise? He shot 41.6% for his career

3all-conference players on one team

You can scream drafts picks all you want- Tennessee has that every season. So do some of the other SEC teams

I'm pretty sure our team didnt match-up recruiting-wise with the top 3 of the SEC that season.

Top 2 players in the draft DOES NOT equal an All American and "one of the best guards". Sorry that's 17ing weak.

I'm not saying that the 2003-04 team was bad (they were the best MSU team in my lifetime), just that when Stans had that team, he went 14-2 in SEC play with them. Fanning couldn't get the job done.<div>
</div><div>I'm not saying here that we should keep Stans or Fanning, it's just that Fanning has performed worse than Stans. It's like arguing over the smellier turd.</div>

if women's basketball were 2 on 2, then Fanning would have been the favorite

6 NCAA's
4 NIT's

one has an SEC title- one has a Sweet 16

Stands has won more SEC games playing in the nations 6th most successful conference the last 10 years
Fanning has had a tougher time playing a tougher schedule year in and year out in a very tough SEC women's league

they are pretty much the same coach

Don't try and argue with him. He will never admit he is wrong on anything and will always try and twist things to his favor. He is one sick puppy!

I wish more people would realize that and follow that advice.

Fanning has got the same number of NCAA's, but she's coached 3 more seasons at MSU than Stans has.<div>
</div><div>She's also made 2 of the last 8 NCAA tourneys, thought that should get you fired at MSU?</div><div>

Coach's agenda will not allow that. There is no comparison and also until TSUN changed coaches in women's basketball they dominated us. This is just another of Coaches lengthy same old same old diatribes trying to discredit Stansbury. I finally figured it out. Coach must have had an All-Junior High player that Stans didn't recruit because the obsession borders on insanity.
