No one was really expecting Russell to dominate the Hogs, but certainly after he went out no one saw the frosh coming in and putting in a 25 yard run to begin OT.

I would say this is a bonafide RAT for us. Finally.

Random ******* Theory. Happens when the opponents main play maker isn't the one who beats you, rather it's some backup or otherwise seldom used player. Some random *******.

It started with South Carolina years ago when some scrub came in and threw a TD pass on us on 4th down. Thus starting the downward spiral of the Sherrill era.

Russell can't be a RAT, he's started a lot of games for us and is one of our star players. Williams came close to RAThood with the TD run.

Think the 4th string South Carolina QB who threw that touchdown pass against Kendall Roberson in 2000.

Today's RAT was Josh Robinson and possibly the offensive line

although DR played a good game, you could have driven a Winnebago through the hole on that play.

I thought it was Smoot and it was the only time he was beaten for a TD all year.

OK..I get it now and I'm sick thinking about that game...threw it on a desperation play straight down the sideline...TD...thanks for RAT info

Absolutely. A true freshman, third string QB with no other SEC offers comes in and runs for a 25 yard TD - first career TD of any kind.

You're exactly right my fellow young alumnus of St. Al...it did in FACT signify the end of the Sherrill "era" as opposed to the Croom "error."

...and on the first play in OT against an SEC team he scores a TD....that's a big deal regardless. It will forever be imbedded in his psyche in a positive manner and will pay intangible benefits.
